🎪 Come and join us at the Big Tent Ideas Festival in Bristol this 11th June 🎪 …Your chance to shape political debate.
The Big Tent is a charitable foundation dedicated to creating space for non-partisan conversations about big policy issues and to giving a voice to places and people left-behind, particularly focussed on regeneration. They want to help people in areas that are in need of regeneration unlock their vision, encourage them to move beyond their day-to-day constraints and give voice to what can be done if enough belief, enthusiasm and co-ordination is brought to bear on local opportunities. The full festival programme can be found here: https://bigtent.org.uk/programme-2022/

Here at Melt Productions we love getting creative when it comes to producing Events. As a team, we are constantly coming up with ideas for new and exciting projects to produce internally, as well as for our clients. Many of our clients come to us knowing exactly what they want in terms of their event, however, they are not quite sure how to execute it... And that of course, is where we come in. When you come to us with an event concept, we will then work with you to create a plan as to how we then turn your ideas into a reality. Whether you are planning a small meeting or orchestrating a large conference, event planning in itself is a huge task. Every event, no matter how simple or complex, requires detailed planning and organisation. From establishing an accurate budget to promoting your event, there are a number of components you should start to consider early on to make the process as stress-free as possible. What the ultimate goal for this event? This is the why that spurred you to plan an event in the first place. Are you looking to: Drive new sales? Support a product launch? Increase brand awareness? Or maybe, you have a combination of multiple goals? Determine what you are looking to accomplish and how this event will help you do that. Next, what are the objectives? In planning any event, you should identify a set of objectives that will support your ultimate goal. Here are a few examples of event objectives:
And lastly, building your professional Events team with Melt: Here at Melt, we are here to support you every step of the way. With a top team of true professionals, we can supply: Project Managers: Oversees all of the moving pieces described below, this person is ultimately responsible for the execution of the event. Marketing and Communications Team: This team makes the right people aware of the event, create offers and timing strategy to boost registration, oversee branding, communicate with registrants, coordinate social media amplification and media relations, and send and measure follow-up materials. This team makes sure each guest has everything they need to get the most out of the event, from maps, schedules, speaker info, and how to network. They build out and update the mobile event app. Registration and Accreditation Team: This team own registration setup, work with a software provider, produce and manage badges, generate reports, and make sure the registration process (pre-event and during the event) is running smoothly. They have fantastic timing and great people skills. We have it covered! From your initial event concept to the live event itself, our team can ensure your next event runs without a hitch. We’re looking for a creative, hard working individual, that likes to get stuck in! Ideally we are looking for someone with at least 1 years' experience working in events, or to have been involved in helping organise some events in the past. However, if you haven’t got events experience, but are organised, reliable and keen to learn, we’d also love to hear from you. Initially the role would be part-time (approximately 20-25hrs per week, with occasionally some overtime), but it could also lead to full time work for the right person. For this role, you must be over 18 and a full driving license is essential. Working in events can be tough, you need to be organised and prepared to jump in where needed, on top of working some long hours. You will also be required to work on some weekends, particularly during the summer months. However, working in events is also very exciting, lots of fun, diverse and extremely rewarding! We are a small team based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, this is where all our office and workshop work will take place. However, our live events take us across the country and sometimes even Europe and beyond. So please ensure you are happy to travel before applying. Salary will be dependant on your experience. We are looking for someone to start between April and May 2022. To apply, please email us with your CV and a cover letter explaining why you think you'd be great for the role: info@meltproductions.co.uk New for 2021, enjoy a spectacular wintery light trail around the 'River Island' in Chippenham, just as you walk over Town Bridge...
See the trees and river bank lit up like never before and also expect a few festive surprises along the way! Produced by Melt Productions in collaboration with Chippenham Town Council, the light trail is free and accessible for all. Running daily from Friday 3rd December until Thursday 9th December between 16:30 - 21:30. As we can’t predict the weather and the trail is all outdoors, please come fully prepared as there is no shelter from the elements… Wrap up warm and please wear sturdy, waterproof footwear! We’re also very excited to be working with a variety of local street food vendors to ensure you have a wide range of delicious options of food and drink to choose from. During busy times, you may be asked to wait whilst our events staff manage the flow of people. We ask all attendees to do their best to maintain social distancing. Please note, there is no parking on site, however if you are driving from a distance, we recommend parking in Emery Gate Car Park. ♻️🌱Making our events as green and sustainable as possible is at the forefront of what we do…🪴♻️
Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some fantastic clients who are keen to do the same; from major fashion retailers, global brands, local start-ups and even government. We’re excited to see there is a strong drive, passion and urgency that change is necessary. From an events perspective, there are plenty of things we already implement, to list a few: ♻️Only ever using recyclable materials in the production process and on site. 🪴Using local suppliers and crew where possible, encourage group travel and public transport. 🌱Donating any leftover food and drinks from events to local food banks. We would love to hear from you to discuss your next event and how the Melt Productions team can work with you to ensure it is produced in the most sustainable way possible. 🌲 We can't believe it's time to start planning... But what is a Hybrid event? It may initially sound daunting for your next event to include both in-person and virtual elements, however, with the right Event Production and Management team in place, this new shift should be easy to adopt. Since the Pandemic hit, many organisations have had to limit the number of in-person attendees to allow more room for social distancing, sanitisation and general safety. On top of this, with many people still unable to travel, Hybrid events allow organisers to ensure their events are still accessible for a wider audience, without restriction. Here are some key reasons your company should be talking about Hybrid events:
So, whether you’re planning to take your physical event online, or looking to create a new event from scratch, Melt Productions are here to help leaving you feeling confident to jump feet first into this new way of working. To discuss your Hybrid event plans with us, please do get in touch via the ‘Contact’ page on our website. Melt Productions are delighted to be producing the 'Rise Up! For Women And Girls - A Virtual Festival' Women and Girls exists to provide women and girls in India with sanitary protection that is culturally and geographically sensitive, kind to the environment and the key to helping women and girls be healthier, happier and free to fulfil their potential. Like many others, the charity has been absolutely scuppered by COVID because most of their fundraising takes place at events that have all been cancelled... To try and make up for some lost time, we're taking things virtual on the 17th April between 18:00 - 22:00. With an incredible lineup featuring music from the gorgeous Kate Rusby, Scott Matthews, Harbottle & Jonas, Granny's Attic, Rebecca Nash, Sara Colman, Jennifer Crook, Fly Yeti Fly, Hari Sivanesan, Harmony Asia, Darshna Mistry and the incredible Nimo Patel of Empty Hands PLUS comedy from the phenomenal Rosie Jones, David Eagle, Wil Hodgson, Dani Johns and Paul 'Silky' White, you’re in for an evening to remember!
