Follow the call of the Disco Ball this Christmas time…
It’s time to put on your ‘Out Of Office’ and join Mr Snowman and all of his wintery pals on their journey to the ULTIMATE Christmas party!
We’ve had lots of fun with this one, once again working alongside Chippenham Town Council to light up the Chippenham riverside.
For the start of the trail this year, visitors enter through the quiet, empty office of the Snow Folk… But where are they all?
As they the trail continues, guests walk through beautifully lit trees with a selection of Moroccan lanterns, leading on to our first water based activation space…

Next up, the Talking Trees have made a return for a second year. This time Old Oak, Gnarly, Branches and Willow have all come dressed in their “Tree-diculous” Christmas jumpers, (much to Gnarly’s disappointment!)The narrative continues from last years’ activation and they discuss their excitement for the infamous Snowman’s party and how Old Oak “once had a few too many at Goldiggers back in 1994!”
…But they need to be quick, as those Pesky Penguins always take up all the room on the dance floor!
The next activation is the penguin party, full of colour changing lights and arctic animals…
The finale is of course the Snowman’s Christmas Party! With four 8ft Snowmen each dressed in party attire and Mr Snowman himself is the DJ blasting out all of the tunes! We’re really proud of the look of this space, a full on disco within the trees!
This year, we’ve also built and created an Après Ski themed space which also houses a post box for children to post their letters to Father Christmas, directly to the North Pole.
As guests enter the tent they are greeted with a flurry of snow and a giant photo wall opportunity, giving the feel that they are fresh off the ski slopes!
The space is lit by festoon and uplighters, featuring lots of twinkling alpine trees, market stall style bars serving mulled drinks and a stage for live music.
The trail was open between 26th Nov and 4th Dec at varying times, just on The Island just off Chippenham high street.
