Nature: Now & Next

We were delighted to be approached by Coventry City Of Culture 2021 to help deliver their latest event ‘Nature: Now & Next’.

The event explored the role that arts and culture plays in our connectedness with the environment, building on the learnings from the Coventry City of Culture Green Futures Programme and in line with Coventry’s ambitions to tackle climate change.
The event featured artists and creatives alongside local and national experts, regional leaders, policy makers and innovators. Inspiring talks were shared through panel discussions, Keynotes and creative responses.

This event also allowed attendees the opportunity to hear more from the Coventry City Of Culture team about their new commissioning model and some of the commissions starting this winter.

The programme for the event included:

• Thematic keynotes about why nature is critical to the survival of humanity.

• Exploration of the importance of arts and culture in delivering Climate Strategy.

• A variety of Panel discussions that explored how creative engagement with nature can create ownership and access to green spaces; how art and culture in non-traditional spaces invites people to connect with the natural world; and how models of sustainable art practice can be used in our everyday lives.

  To ensure the event was accessible for all attendees, the event took place online.
